Adnan Assaf listened to some good
advice before deciding to start his real estate career in 1992. My uncle was a
Realtor and my dad was always buying, fixing up and selling houses. One year we moved four
times, says Adnan, smiling, My dad told me that I couldnt go into this
business for the money. He said the number one priority is to make the client happy.
Adnan has taken this advice to heart. He bends over backwards for his
clients, even going so far as to drive clients to the carpet stores to help with colour
selection. My client is number one with me, he says, I like to
treat every client as if they were my mother, brother, sister or father. A home is the
most important thing in a persons life. You come home to a place you like and your
lifes going to be a little happier. When my clients are happy, Im happy.
This born and raised Calgarian is
constantly on the move, making sure his knowledge of the residential and commercial market
is current. Hes been the Number One Realtor at the C.I.R. Downtown office since 1996
and was Number One in the entire company in 1998 and 1999. Hes a member of both the
MLS Million Dollar Club and the C.I.R. Presidents Platinum Award Club. He broke all
of C.I.R.s sales records in 1998, no small feat.
Adnans definition of success,
however, has nothing to do with awards and recognition. I work with long term
goals in mind. To me, success means giving the best service possible to my clients, really
hearing what theyre telling me and finding what they really want, first time
out, he explains, Managing my
days well and spending enough time with my family is also a very important part of the
plan.
